SelectUSA Fostered $200 Billion in Foreign Investments

Commerce Department reports a milestone in the program’s 11 years.

The Department of Commerce announced that their program SelectUSA reached $200 billion in certified foreign direct investments into the American economy last year, the latest milestone reached by the 11-year-old investment program. This number represents a quarter of all foreign direct investments made into United States businesses, which Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo attributed to U.S. investment in domestic production sectors.

“2023 was a groundbreaking year for the SelectUSA program, with President Biden’s historic Investing in America agenda driving investments in critical industries like semiconductors and clean energy,” said Secretary Raimondo. “SelectUSA continues to serve as an indispensable tool within the Department of Commerce to attract FDI into the United States and help create good-paying jobs across the country.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Secretary Raimondo to be directed by the Lord as she heads the Commerce Department.
  • For prudence for U.S. commerce officials as they facilitate foreign investments in the U.S. economy.
